Go Green Program

The RSM Richter Chamberland Go Green initiative has the mission of reducing RSM Richter Chamberland’s carbon footprint by minimizing waste and promoting environmental best practices throughout the Firm.

In 2007, the committee completed an in-depth analysis of corporate usage of disposable products, paper consumption and energy usage, in order to issue a set of recommendations and an action plan. The Go Green Committee subsequently launched a series of targeted activities, designed to ensure that our commitment to environmental consciousness is adopted by the entire company.

Results to date include:

  • Reduced paper consumption by 30% by implementing double-side printing and encouraging electronic document management;
  • Improved recycling with awareness campaigns;
  • Reduce dusage of disposable containers by replacing water bottles with carafes and cups and replacing all styrofoam cups with glasses and mugs;
  • Reduced usage of personal motorized vehicles by offering employees public transportation subsidies.
