For the week ended April 2, 2016, 25 retail chains provided us their results. The average retail chain was down 3.21% from last year on a comparative store sales basis. Of the 25 reporting chains, 6 chains reported comparative store sales increases in excess of 10%, whereas 12 chains reported comparative store sales decreases in excess of 10%.
