March 7th and 8th, 2008 marks the completion of another successful year for the RSM Richter Real World Challenge. Teams from Laurier, McMaster, Queens, University of Toronto, Western and York were invited to participate.
The event was kicked-off with a social reception at Acqua restaurant. The kick-off gave participants an opportunity to size-up their competition and to meet Richter representatives to learn more about a career in accounting at our firm.

The Challenge began on the morning of March 8th, after a welcome breakfast. Teams were asked to prepare a recommendation for a client wishing to purchase a new business. The case was challenging but throughout the day they were assisted by RSM Richter mentors. The team's recommendation was finally presented to a panel of RSM Richter judges and the winning team announced during the afternoon reception.
Congratulations to the winning team, University of Toronto (seen below), who took home $1,000 for each member of their team, and an additional $1,000 for their school accounting society. A second place prize was awarded to Western.
