Real World Challenge

Saturday March 15th, 2008 marks the completion of the 1st annual RSM Richter Real World Challenge in Calgary. Teams from the University of Calgary and the University of Alberta were invited to participate.

The Challenge began Saturday morning after a welcome breakfast. Teams were asked to prepare a recommendation for a client wishing to purchase a new business. The case was challenging but throughout the day they were assisted by RSM Richter mentors. The team's recommendation was finally presented to a panel of RSM Richter judges and the winning team announced during the afternoon reception.

Congratulations to the winning team, U of Calgary – Jeff, Sean, Christiene, and Natasha, who took home $1,000 for each member of their team, and an additional $1,000 for their school’s accounting society. A second place prize was also awarded to U of Calgary – Christine, Tim, Crystal and Samantha.
